Roger Donati, born in Zurich in 1963, as the son of an artist family, was encouraged in his creativity at an early age. My lifelong interest in painting, sculpture and photography has continuously stimulated my calling in art. A significant point of my personal development is the ability to self-taught to acquire a wide variety of techniques and sculptural skills and then to apply them individually and artistically. In creating a work that reflects respect for a discipline of education and technique, I am moved to explore the endless and expressive possibilities that go with it.

My sculptures and paintings are created out of joy in creative activity and the hope of reflection, exchange and resonance. For me, creating art is a creative and individual transformation of the visible, like a metamorphosis. It gives strength and releases strength. It is the creative process in sculpture and painting that fascinates me because it means meaningful and joyful work.
